The
Parent Educator
Maria Montessori believed strongly that parents play a critical
role in their children’s education. Education begins with
the parent, in the home at birth. The parent is the child’s
first and most influential teacher. The word EDUCATE comes from
a Latin root meaning TO LEAD. As a parent, you have a unique
opportunity to lead your child into areas of interest and activity
that are meaningful and fulfilling to both of you: hobbies,
intellectual pursuits, spiritual values, and cultural and environmental
appreciation. You, as the primary teacher, are the most significant
influence on your young child’s absorbent mind. That is
why we at Little Scholars encourage parents to be as actively
involved in all aspects of our students’ progress as possible.
Little Scholars Parents
At Little Scholars we maintain a positive relationship between
home and school which creates a sense of community and trust.
With frequent visits, family events and occasions, and a variety
of parent volunteer opportunities, we wish to continue your
positive involvement. We are highly appreciative that parents,
at Little Scholars, take every opportunity to participate in
the education of their children. We are also thankful of all
the wonderful feedback that we continue to receive from you.
With the gift of your trust, time, energy, and feedback, you
truly enhance our programs and school community…thank
you! |
